Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 31, 2026

1. Overview

FightZ ("we," "our," or "the Service") provides UFC fight analysis, statistical breakdowns, and calculated fight commentary at fightz.app and our associated iOS application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information. When you create an account, our authentication provider Clerk collects and stores your email address and a unique account identifier. If you sign in with Google, Clerk receives your Google email address and basic profile information (such as your name and profile image) from Google. We use this to create and secure your account and to recognize you when you return.
  • Subscription status. If you purchase a subscription, our subscription provider RevenueCatstores your subscription and entitlement status (e.g. whether you have an active "pro" entitlement, the product purchased, and renewal dates), linked to your account identifier. We use this only to unlock paid features. We do not receive or store your credit-card or payment-method details — see Section 5.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard web-request data such as IP address, user-agent, and timestamps for security and operational purposes.
  • Cookies. We use cookies that are strictly necessary for sign-in and session management (set by Clerk). We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics that identify you as an individual.
  • Public fighter statistics. The fighter data and analysis shown on the Service is derived from publicly available records (e.g. UFCStats, Tapology, Sherdog, ESPN). It is not personal information about you.

3. How We Use Information

  • To create, authenticate, and secure your account.
  • To provide paid features to subscribers and manage entitlements.
  • To operate, maintain, and secure the Service and prevent abuse.
  • To diagnose technical issues and improve our analysis features.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following providers, each with its own privacy practices:

  • Clerk — account creation, authentication, and session management (stores your email / account identifier).
  • RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management (stores your subscription status).
  • Apple — processes in-app purchases and subscription billing through the App Store.
  • Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.
  • Cloudflare — DNS resolution and domain management.
  • Natively — provides the iOS application wrapper that loads the Service.
  • Anthropic — AI model provider used to generate fight-analysis text. We do not send user-identifying information to Anthropic.
  • Public data sources (UFCStats, Tapology, Sherdog, ESPN, BestFightOdds) — for fighter statistics and historical results.

5. Payment Information

All purchases are made through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes your payment and we never see or store your card number or other payment-method details. Subscriptions are managed in your device's App Store account settings.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You can delete your account at any time from within the app on your Account page. Deleting your account permanently removes your FightZ account record from Clerk. Note that an active App Store subscription is tied to your Apple ID and must be cancelled separately in your device's subscription settings.

If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal basis for processing account data is performance of our contract with you (providing the Service) and our legitimate interest in securing it.

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, use in-app account deletion or contact us at the email address in Section 10.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your account record is removed. Subscription records held by RevenueCat and Apple are retained per their policies and applicable financial-record requirements. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited operational period.

8. International Data Transfers

The Service is operated from the United States and our providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers of personal data rely on appropriate safeguards.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is rated 17+ and is intended for adults of legal age in their jurisdiction. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Contact

Questions, concerns, or privacy requests can be sent to support@fightz.app.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version, and material changes will be communicated through the Service.
